What file formats do you process?
We process the following formats. JPG (jpg, jpeg) and TIFF (tif, tiff). The standard format used by most digital cameras is JPG format.
How can I change the file format?
You can change the file format of an image with more or less any graphics program. Programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Paint, PaintShop Pro, or IrfanView give you this function and are easy to use. Most digital cameras that store images in a RAW format also include a program for converting the files to JPG format.
What is the max size for my photo?
For uploading to the website your photo can be up to 30MB. If you want to supply a larger photo, please contact our Customer Care.
What resolution does my photo need?
The image resolution determines the maximum high quality print–out size. To assure perfect results, just observe the details in the following table.

What color space should the photo use?
For best possible results, any images you submit should use the sRGB color space. Any other color spaces are automatically converted to RGB. This can cause some color deviation. Complaints due to this can't be accepted.
How do I know if my photo is suitable for the size I want to order?
Simply load your image in our Product Designer. Then select "Format" and check in "Image suitability" to see whether your image is suitable for this format. 5 stars mean that the image is perfectly suited, and one star means that it is a poor choice. If your image only scores 2 or less stars, you should choose a smaller format, or upload a higher resolution image.
How important is the aspect for producing my photos?
The term aspect describes the ratio of length to width for an image. Typical aspects include the 3:2 format and the 4:3 format. At posterXXL we use these formats and many others, .e.g panorama formats, square formats and inch formats. If your image has a different aspect than the product format that you choose, please select which area of your image to print in the Product Designer tool's "Image options" section.
How can I edit my images?
To edit existing images, your best approach is to use a popular software program such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Paint, PaintShop Pro, or IrfanView. However, the posterXXL Product Designer "Effects" tool does give you the option of converting your image to black / white or sepia.
Can I upload black / white images?
Yes. You can upload black / white images. But make sure that your image still uses the SRGB color mode. You can always convert a normal color photo black / white using the Product Designer's "Effects" option.
